Located at the north of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, the department is open to the Atlantic ocean and the Gironde estuary. For the younger people, La Rochelle is the perfect place to get on board and have a sight on the mythic Fort Boyard but also to link the Oléron, Ré and Aix islands.
